Answers before you book
The stuff people ask most. Don’t see your question? Just ask.
What is functional medicine?
It’s root-cause medicine. Instead of matching a symptom to a prescription, I look at how everything connects (nutrition, hormones, gut, sleep, stress, your labs) to find what’s actually driving how you feel. It works alongside regular medicine, not instead of it.
Is Foundry really 100% telehealth?
Yep. Every visit is secure video, and labs get done near you or with an at-home kit. Same depth as an in-person functional practice, minus the drive and the waiting room.
Which states can you see patients in?
I can see you if you’re physically located in a state where I’m licensed, which right now is Indiana, with more on the way. Not sure? Reach out and I’ll confirm before you book.
Do you take insurance?
Foundry is membership-based and cash-pay, on purpose, so I can spend real time on you instead of fighting insurance. The membership fee itself generally isn’t HSA/FSA eligible, but some individual services or lab fees may be, so check with your plan administrator. You can also request a superbill to submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Pricing’s on the booking page.
How does lab testing work?
After we talk, I order labs based on your story. You get them done at a lab near you or with an at-home kit, and we go through the results together on a follow-up. Any lab fees are separate and shown up front.
Do you replace my primary care provider?
No, and I don’t want to. I work alongside your PCP and specialists. Keep them for routine and urgent stuff; I focus on the root-cause side.
Can the whole family be seen?
Yes. I do cause-first care across the family. Tell me your situation and I’ll let you know how I can help.
Is this a good fit for athletes?
Definitely. There’s a whole performance track for athletes and high-performers who want to dial in energy, hormones, recovery, and their numbers. See the Performance page.
What if I have a medical emergency?
Telehealth isn’t for emergencies. If you’re having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest ER right away.
